First Edition of the "May Musical Encounters" Festival

Przemysław Witek has been appointed artistic director of the first edition of the “May Musical Encounters” Festival in the Valley of Palaces and Gardens of the Jelenia Góra Basin. From 30 April to 4 May 2014 the festival’s artists (Iwona Sobotka, Maria Machowska, Janusz Wawrowski, Benedict Kloeckner, Jiri Kabat, Angel Cabrera and Michał Szymanowski) will perform Polish, German and Czech chamber music. Przemysław Witek will appear at the opening concert dedicated to Johannes Brahms, performing the Sonata for piano and violin in G major Op. 78, the Sonata for clarinet (arr. for viola) and piano in F minor Op. 120 No. 1, and the Piano Trio in C minor Op. 101.
